Hand-painting Hair for Highlights

Balayage, is hand-painting technique where we add light or dark color. When used as a highlighting technique on blondes, brunettes, and red heads; It tends to grow out very gracefully since it blends in with their natural color.

I painted the hairline here to brighten-up her blonde when she’s wearing her hair-up, as well as throughout the entire head.

Smaller foils were applied around the front to add even lighter highlights.

The length of her hair was very important to her, so the lightener wasn’t applied to the ends until the end of the processing-time to prevent damage.
